Find the FHS Ceramics class at LHUCA’s clay studio (around 5th & J). Take pictures of them in action as they work OR take a selfie with Echols (because he loves selfies) and caption your image with what you learned about the process they are doing.
Post to your site as May First Friday.
Participating students will be given extra credit and there will be a drawing for one to get the Sonic Drink of their choice!

Calling all entries for VASE.
2 entry max. $15 per entry.
No themes or categories. Must be original work. You must show a contact sheet or sketches created for the completion of your work. Eligible works may have been completed since last February (this is why we always save our work!)
Must have a title for your work, and payment turned in by Friday, January 13th. Once entries are in, I will print and you will mat your work up to 24″x 36″ (if not already printed & matted).
Regionals are here at FHS and are mandatory on Saturday, February 18th. Judging and interviews are in the morning, and awards ceremony are in the afternoon. Representatives from art supply stores and colleges are present, and food trucks will be on site for lunch. Hands on art workshops will also be happening in the art hall, and possibly a fashion contest.
Top 10% of artwork/artists goes to State VASE in San Antonio in April.

From a total of 6500 entries from 89 schools, Frenship High School’s own Fabiola Haro (10th) won 3rd for her work she entered in the “Nature” category in ATPI’s Fall online contest. Her work shows great camera skill, attention to detail, elements and principles, and composition.

ATPI (Association of Texas Photography Instructors) is an exclusive photography association that has frequent contests, conferences, and scholarship opportunities for students.

FHS Photography is currently taking entries for the South Plains Fair Exhibit and Contest.
Work may be submitted to the South Plains Fair folder in my drop off. There are always many many many entries, but unfortunately, I can not display them all. The top 8-10 will be shown, depending on sizes of the work.
All entries due in my “South Plains Fair” drop off folder by Tues. Sept 13th!!!
Work will be shown from Sept. 23rd to Oct. 1st. A 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention award is given to each class participating.
